Fans who want to see more of "Vampire Diaries" actor Steven R McQueen in the small screen may eventually get their wish come true. Steven, 25, currently works on a serious campaign to get cast as Nightwing in "Arrow," the other successful CW TV series, according to the E!Online report.

On "The Vampire Diaries" 100th episode set, Steven R McQueen confessed about being a huge comic book fan has made him go on an energized campaign to land the role in the TV series. In the SciFiNow report, Nightwing has been the dream character cameo mentioned in "Arrow" Season 1 together with Bludhaven.

The hunky "Vampire Diaries" hunter revealed that he has started his campaign on Twitter to the "Arrow" writer's room. "I was like, 'You should be me to guest star as Nightwing. I wrote them jokingly and they ended up tweeting casting. So I am putting that energy in the universe! It's on camera now, it's gotta happen!" the actor excitedly shared.

For instance, one of Steven's series of Nightwing tweets on his account @McQueeninchains reads: "Had some superhero conversations with the executives this weekend @ARROWwriters." The young actor has also been posting on Twitter for his fans to see the images of himself on an intense workout with the Nightwing muscle shirt.

The caption on the shared Twitter image simply reads: "Nightwing training." Another teasing tweet last November 13 from the writer's room reads: "Chilling with @KyleDHiggins talking nightwing @ARROWwriters @GBerlanti @RapaportCasting" with Kyle Higgins as the current write of Nightwing.

Steven R McQueen is known as "Vampire Diaries" character Jeremy Gilbert, Elena's younger brother and the Mystic Falls vampire hunter. The WetPaint report claims the actor is already in talks to join "Arrow" as Nightwing and his enthusiasm to get buffed and personally campaign for the superhero character shows that Mr McQueen is ready to diversify his acting skills and career.

The CW network has not given any official statement yet regarding Steven's new "Arrow" casting but the actor's meeting with the big bosses show a sign that it will happen soon. At the moment, fans can watch Steven R McQueen as Jeremy Gilbert, Bonnie's love interest, in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 that airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on the CW network.
