‘Street Fighter V’ tutorial mode, new screenshots released as fans petition to bring back Rainbow Mika’s signature move
“Street Fighter V” has a training mode that surprised fans back in the Nov. 5 beta. In a new trailer released by Capcom, the training mode is featured at a good length, showcasing the two well-known characters in the “Street Fighter” franchise.
The trailer features the younger Ken and Ryu during their training days with their master. Japanese voice actors Tetsuya Iwanaga and Hiroki Takahashi lend their voices for Ken and Ryu respectively.
There is also a demo of the training mode, where players need to accomplish tasks per player. Most of the “Street Fighter V” trailer features are animated, with the exception of the training mode gameplay scenes.
According to GameSpot, the training mode has a storyline featuring Master Gouken. As seen in the video below, Ken and Ryu spend some time sparring as a way to master techniques. The outfits of the two fighters are different from their current form in “Street Fighter V.” However, no announcements have been made yet as to whether these will be available in other matches in “Street Fighter V.”
Fans have also recently launched a petition in the aim of persuading Capcom to bring back the infamous butt slap move of Rainbow Mika. In the latest tweaks to “Street Fighter V,” it appears that the developer has removed the animation for the twin-tailed blonde.
After the change, the butt slap move is now partially hidden in the game. Fans did not like the change, however, and there is now a call to Capcom to revert the change, DualShockers reported. The online petition has already garnered over 1,950 signatures.
This does not seem to be the only censoring change that Capcom has done in “Street Fighter V.” Fellow fighter Cammy’s moves has also been tweaked, with her introduction featuring a lot less crotch close-ups than before.
“Street Fighter V” is coming to the PS4 and PC on Feb. 16, 2016. It will feature both old and new fighters, with newly revealed names including newcomer Brazilian fighter Laura Matsuda and “Street Fighter II” veteran Dhalsim, who incorporates Yoga into his moves.
