“Suits” returns this Wednesday, June 24, with the first installment of Season 5. The episode 1 of “Suits” Season 5 will pick up after some time has passed since the events of Season 4 final episode. Donna’s decision to accept Louis’ (Rick Hoffman) offer and become his secretary will affect everyone in the firm, but understandably, the most affected will be Harvey. According to TV Line, “Harvey is reeling so severely from the loss of Donna in the June 24 season premiere that he seeks out a therapist.”
As previously reported, Christina Cole has been roped in to play the Harvard educated psychiatrist, Dr Paula Agard. The character specialises in high-end corporate consulting. She is expected to become a perfect match for Harvey, and the two will be seen playing a game of cat and mouse. Also the premiere episode of “Suits” Season 5 will see the return of the can opener.
The Season 4 finale also saw the impromptu engagement of Mike (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel (Meghan Markle), but it looks like the two will not announce the good news at the firm. TV Line has reported that the two will decide to not tell everyone about their engagement. The engagement news will be put on hold because of Harvey and Mike’s new case and also because of Harvey and Donna’s new equation.
Donna becoming Louis’ secretary does not mean that the latter believes that her loyalties lie with him. He expects her to leave him and return to Harvey. According to TV Line, Louis almost “ruins his new partnership with Donna.”
Meanwhile, the spoilers have hinted about the power struggle between Harvey and Louis and the arrival of a new partner on the scene. This no-name partner is set to confront Jessica (Gina Torres) about the way Harvey does business.
