Microsoft boosted the powers it deployed with the Surface Pro 3 last with the device’s slim and light profile adding to its allure. But the Surface Pro 4 release date is happening in a matter of few months and the likelihood is, things will only get better.

Unsurprisingly, the Surface Pro 4 is designed to bump off last year’s model so the specs and features packed with the device are definitive step ups. And from the reports and speculations that came out so far, there are four ways that the new Windows tablet will easily send the Surface Pro 3 to retirement.

Display screen stretched further

The Surface Pro last year maxed the display panel at 12-inch diagonally with the resolution at a stunning 2160 x 1440 pixels. The Surface Pro 4 is said to merely mirror the same pixel density of its immediate predecessor but Microsoft is reportedly making it more interesting by giving users some option.

The 12-inch variant will make a return with the same screen resolution. But Windows fans wishing for a bigger will not be disappointed as a 14-inch version is reportedly in the works. With such generous display size, the upcoming Surface tablet is becoming true to its label – a Pro device that makes it easier and more fun to get the work done.

Supersized memory configuration

The Surface Pro 3 didn’t skimp on internal memory as users were given the chance to unbox a model that boasts of 500GB storage. But with the Pro 4, Microsoft is doubling on its expansion move with reports that a 1TB is part of the line-up.

To match such wide digital room is a RAM provision that will ensure the Surface Pro 4 will operate with speed as the top priority. Rumours are suggesting that memory chip of the Pro 4 is beyond desktop-class at 16GB for the top-tier model.

Finally, a laptop replacement

As it is, the Surface Pro 3 attracted praises from experts and reviewers for its portability while offering multiple functionalities. But the device still fell short of becoming the first tablet to be regarded as a laptop replacement.

It might be that the Surface Pro 4 will end this quest, The Fuse Joplin reported. If there is one winner feature for the device is “the new Surface Pro 4 will probably fill in the gaps and offer a unified device that could be a tablet and a laptop at once,” the same report offered.

Windows 10 out of the box

But really the best part of the whole Surface Pro 4 package is its virtually ensured to get the upcoming Windows 10 first. Per Microsoft, summer 2015 is launch period for Windows 10, thus positioning the Surface Pro 4 to debut the prowess of the redesigned operating system right out of the box.

Reports have indicated that Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is all geared up for a July 2015 release date. Now that perfectly synchs with the software giant’s recent announcement that party time for the new OS will start summer time.
