T-Mobile will certainly roll-out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow -- Google's latest OS -- to the Nexus 6 after several false alarms, confirms Android Authority. No specific date was provided, but it was revealed this super sized smartphone is going to get the update pretty "soon."

Now that the OTA, or over the air, update has been approved, it’s only a matter of time before Nexus 6 users start seeing update notifications popping up on their screens.

The news of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow arriving to Nexus 6 devices first came from Des Smith, a Product Evangelist from T-Mobile, according to Tech Times. Smith took to social media to inform consumers the latest Android OS is going to reach T-Mobile's Nexus 6 soon. It was also Smith who revealed the update has the build number MRA58X.

It was previously reported that T-Mobile's version of Nexus 6 was going to get the update sometime in October. No rollout happened that month, however, and new reports regarding a November release came out. T-Mobile even announced early last month that the Nexus 6 was going to get the latest OS within a week. Still, no update showed up.

Apparently, the cause of delay is a major bug. T-Mobile could have rolled out the update as scheduled had they opted to disregard their clients. After discovering the problem, T-Mobile delayed the rollout. It developed a new build that had to be tested again.

T-Mobile's Un-Carrier event has an official website that will allow its clients to check how far into the updating procedure their phones have gone, including whether or not the phone’s included in the list of devices that have been scheduled for the rollout.
