Tattoo Artist Cally-Jo Pothecary Inks The HTC One M9 For Limited Edition Release

HTC revealed that its One M9 will get a limited edition version that has a tattoo on its rear side, according to reports.

According to a report on Digital Trends, the limited edition version is dubbed the HTC One M9 Ink. The new design was the outcome of collaboration between HTC, supermodel Jourdan Dunn and British tattoo artist Cally-Jo Pothecary. While Dunn is the ‘global HTC Ink ambassador’, Pothecary in responsible for the design, Digital Trends reported.

A report on Techno Buffalo says, a limited number of HTC One M9 will be sold and each features the engraving designed by Pothecary. “Jourdan and I worked closely to pull the design together,” the Techno Buffalo report quoted Pothecary, as saying. “She’s a big fan of body art already and she knew the type of visual she wanted to create and the images that would go into it. We also worked through what she wanted to say with the artwork and how it would reflect important things that she’s excited about doing and being more creative herself -- and to make it really personal to her. My particular drawing style was something that she loved so it was a perfect creative match, which resulted in a really unique and bold limited edition HTC One M9 INK handset,” Pothecary explained Techno Buffalo. The publication also mentioned that HTC is yet to reveal details on the availability of phone, number of units manufactured and the price of the phone.

Last year, HTC One M8 got an engraving from Singapore based design collective Phunk Studios and the One M7 got an engraving from U.K. based designer David Koma, reports Digital Trends. This development comes at a bad time for HTC that had to revise its estimated to reflect unimpressive sales. The low demand of One M9 led to a depressing April for HTC and despite One M9 Ink looks attractive, it will be difficult to say if, it will bring back good times for HTC, reports Digital Trends.
