Taylor Swift Gets Three Nominations from Academy of Country Music Awards
There's no such word as "slowing down" for country crooner, Taylor Swift. The 22-year old singer proves yet again she's out to get win more fans and awards along the way. With the 47th Academy of Country Music nominees out, it looks like Swift might be taking home all three.
The Academy of Country Music Awards finally announces their nominees just today and the nominees were announced via digital press conference on the Academy's Twitter and Facebook pages. It was not surprising to see that Swift, again, managed to make it to the list of nominees.
Though she's young, she proves she's as talented as country singers older than her. Swift is nominated once again for Entertainer of the Year. She's joined by country singer heavy weight, Kenny Chesney who has a whopping nine nominations, Jason Aldean who has six nominations, Brad paisley with four nominations and Blake Shelton.
Apart from the nomination for Entertainer of the Year, Swift also gets nominated for the fifth time for Female Vocalist of the Year. Joining her in the race for the award are Sara Evans, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood.
One last award the "Fearless" singer is up for is Video of the Year. Thanks to her autobiographical video, "Mean", Swift joins fellow nominees Eric Church for the video "Homeboy", Lady Antebellum for the video "Just a Kiss", Toby Keith for the video "Red Solo cup" and Jason Aldean for the video "Tattoos on This Town."
Though it's' Swift's' third time to be nominated for the award for Video of the Year, Swift fans are crossing fingers hard that she'd nab the award this year.
Fans of Swift and her fellow nominees will still have to wait until April 1 before they find out the winners. The 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena at Las Vegas on a Sunday.
