The power of tablet and S Pen in one device made the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 one of the well-praised Android gadgets. But not many owners know about the 10 smart features the Galaxy Note 10.1 possesses.

1. Smart Stay
This feature also available in Samsung Galaxy S3 which keeps the screen on if the user is looking at it or dims it if the user looks away from the device. Go to Settings > Display > Smart Stay, once activated, an eye icon will appear to the notifications bar next to the clock. It is a very useful tool for e-reading apps, browsing or video playback.

2. Motion Sensor
Go to Settings > Motion and activate the following functions:

a. Tilt to zoom: Zooms in or out of the screen when in Gallery or the Internet

b. Pan to Move icon: Move icons from one page to another such as in home screen or application menu

c. Pan to browse images: Move around an image when zoomed in

3. Change Keyboard Quicker
Pinch on the virtual keyboard to change the layout from three different sets - QWERTY keys, Floating, or Split keys.

4. One button Task Manager
Hold and press the Home button to view the task manager app quickly. The pop-up window includes RAM status and clear memory button.

5. App Menu quick access
Use the Recent Apps button to quickly bring up the Application Menu to the display on any screen you are in.

6. S Pen Shortcuts
Aside from accurate drawing and writing, the S Pen can do shortcuts for applications and functions:

a. Click and Double Tap: Brings up the S Note mini app

b. Click and Hold: Takes a screen shot

7. Mini App Inside Another Application

If you are doing something inside an application, use the Mini app button at the center bottom of the screen. It will bring up additional function on the screen while the other is still running. Apps include Alarm, Calculator, Email, Music Player, S Note, S Planner and Task Manager

If you are annoyed by accidental screenshot capture, the button can easily be changed by going to the Settings > Display > Quick Launch. You can change it to Applications, Search, Camera or remove it completely.

9. Four Applications at the same time

Galaxy Note 10.1 features an amazing ability to run four applications simultaneously on a single screen. First, use the Multi-screen function and launch two different applications. Second, use the Pop-up Play to open videos then access the Quick Launch to launch extra applications such as the S Note.

10. Chapter Preview
When choosing videos, you can select which chapter do you want to view or where to resume on a specific movie. Go to Video Player > Select a video > Option > Chapter Preview.
