Manchester United has been reportedly renewed its interest in Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale setting up a world record offer of £99.5 million. The Red Devils’s proposed deal will eclipse Bale’s current world record fee of £85.3 million.

Bale has been linked with a return to United all summer, but the club’s interest appeared to have cooled down. However, a report from Spanish outlet COPE suggested United are now serious about acquiring the 25-year-old winger as per Yahoo Eurosport. United boss Louis Van Gaal has remained keen to bring back Bale to the Premiere League this summer and have presented a massive deal for the Real star.

The former Spur would be a huge acquisition for United as he has displayed top quality talent in the Spanish club and has been a proven big-game player according to reports of Bleacher Report. Bale, who also plays for Wales national team as midfielder, could become an important piece in Van Gaal’s squad and help the Red Devils in its Premiere League campaign. While Bale would eat up a huge portion of United’s £120 million transfer window allowance, the Welshman would surely be a quality buy.

However, Los Blancos’ former manager John Toshack was convinced that new boss Rafael Benitez would build his team around Bale rather than Madrid’s star Cristiano Ronaldo. The 30-year-old has been the top footballer for Real Madrid ever since arriving from Manchester United in 2009, but the Portuguese international may be the first to opt out and have Benitez build his team around Bale.

"My own opinion is that we will probably see, for one reason or another, Cristiano moves from Madrid before Gareth,” Toschack said as per Independent.co.uk.

"You do need time to adapt and obviously for the money they paid for Bale and at the age that he is, he's still got a lot to do,” He added.

Bale was subjected to harsh criticism from Real Madrid fans over his performances at the back end of last season after enduring a tough finish to the campaign. With the stick point from Madridistas, Bale may buy the idea of leaving Bernabeu to go back to England.
