Upcoming Mobile RPG ‘Ire-Blood Memory’ Attempts To Channel ‘Dark Souls’ And 'Monster Hunter'
Ever since the release of “Demon Souls,” many games have attempted to replicate the success of that Atlus Roleplaying game, especially after the positive critical reaction of its game developer Tenbirds Corp will be making that attempt with “Ire-Blood Memory,” though instead of releasing the game for consoles, this title will be one for mobile gamers.
According to a report from Touch Arcade, the game will apparently mix the old-school difficulty of games like “Dark Souls” and even “Monster Hunter,” while trying to make it accessible to mobile gamers. “Ire-Blood Memory” will also try to bring console quality combat to mobile devices, instead of the typical button-mashing affair mobile users are used to.
While there have been numerous attempts to replicate the success of “Dark Souls” on consoles, this appears to be the first time it has been attempted on mobile devices. While there have been other action roleplaying games for smartphones and tablets, like “Zenonia” and “Dungeon Hunter,” they are more traditional dungeon crawlers than a game like “Dark Souls” or “Monster Hunter.”
“Ire-Blood Memory” will require players to have a Wi-Fi connection to play the game and will also have controller support for iOS devices according to Moddb, though it’s currently unsure if the game will be coming to Android as well. It’s also unclear if the game will be a free-to-play title or a paid purchase.
This is the debut game of Tenbirds Corp according to the company’s main website. It seems that the game developer is setting itself some lofty expectations, as comparing a new game to other critical successes like “Dark Souls” or “Monster Hunter” can be considered ambitious by most video game fans.
The game is currently under review and will apparently be out in two or three weeks, so mobile users who are itching for an incredibly difficult RPG experience won’t have to wait too long for “Ire-Blood Memory.” Like a “Demon Souls” or a “Dark Souls,” the game will require gamers to be patient, as they memorize enemy patterns and make strategies to overcome any type of enemy or boss character they might have to face.
