Kickstarter has become a staple for those who want to find a way to bring their creations to light, but don't have the financial capacity to do it alone.

But sometimes, there are really great and interesting games that even the fans just can't wait to fund the games. Here are some of the recently launched games that are already making waves when it comes to inching every so closely to their goal funds.

Chasm

From developer Discord Games, the 2D RPG action game, which will be slated for release on the PC, Mac, and Linux, gives you a glimpse of what Diablo, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and Castlevania would look like if you combined their best points in one game.

According to 30Plus Gamer, the goal of developers was to create an immersive gaming word where you can unlock secrets, dig for treasure, and battle enemies in a mining town.

As the story goes, you will be confronted with the mystery of why the townspeople have all disappeared, which will later on be revealed as an evil force that you have to escape from.

A recent addition to the Kickstarter projects, Chasm currently has $94,900 pledges, with 17 days to go. It still lacks some more pushed to reach the expected $150,000 funding, so you can still vie for this project if you're interested.

Among the Sleep

Also launched just last week is the first-person horror adventure that puts you in the shoes of a two-year-old.

According to Joystiq, the very juxtaposition of a grownup gamer with a child character will leave you wondering if the horrors are all in the mind or all around the child.

Among the Sleep is currently up for Kickstarter backing with 23 more days to go. But it has already garnered $82,800 from 3,077 backers, there's still three weeks to go, and the game seems to have a green light judging from the pledges.

The lowest amount you can back to get something in return is $5 where you can get exclusive backer forum access and backer wallpaper.

But if you add $10 more, you'll already get a digital copy of Among the Sleep plus access to the exclusive backer forum. It seems like a pretty good deal already considering the hype that the game is currently enjoying.

Jagged Alliance: Flashback

If you're into turn-based strategy and action games, Full Control's recently launched Kickstarter game Jagged Alliance: Flashback seems like the game for you.

"The Godfather of turn-based action is making its comeback!" said Full Control on their Kickstarter page. "Jagged Alliance: Flashback is our vision of returning a once critically-acclaimed franchise back to its roots--it's not a reboot, it's a reset!"

This means you'll have a thinking game that arms you with guns and sets you loose, guns a-blazing. Plus, you also get unique characters and role-playing elements, so you know you're bound to have a great time.

Right now, you have until May 23 to pitch in your pledge. The project has already achieved $63,179, with the goal of $350,000. Not bad for a project that has only had two days since launch.
