Vivienne Westwood turned down request to design Kate’s Royal wedding dress
Fashion mogul, Dame Vivienne Westwood insists that she won’t design Kate Middleton’s wedding dress, claiming the style of the future princess is ‘outdated’
When asked where Kate Middleton will get her wedding dress in the much-anticipated Royal Wedding in April, fashion mogul, Vivienne Westwood has asserted that the future Princess will ‘definitely get it from her’.
Westwood confirmed that she was asked to design Kate’s wedding dress but was compelled to turn it down, saying her fashion style is ‘outdated’.
"I would have loved to have dressed Kate Middleton but I have to wait until she kind of catches up a bit somewhere with style," Westwood said, according to Aceshowbiz.com
The fashion mogul has maintained she is not impressed with Kate’s fashion sense.
The fashion mogul said, "Sorry, I'm not going to say any more, that's it. When people ask me where she's going to get the dress from - she's definitely not going to get it from me."
The soon-to-be-princess has earlier expressed interest in the collection of Victoria Beckham, who said in an earlier report by IBTimes that she would be sending a number of choices for Kate to wear during the highlights of the Royal wedding. No details have come out yet however, as to who will design her wedding dress.
