Xbox One Black Friday 2015 deals bring $300 bundles as Microsoft continues talks of more features
Microsoft has detailed the full list of Xbox One bundles that will be part of its Black Friday 2015 deals. The Xbox One has been price even lower, and this is complemented by discounted games to play over the holidays.
Announced over the Xbox Wire, there are 12 holiday bundles that are discounted for the season. These include the Xbox One Limited Edition “Halo 5: Guardians” bundle, the Xbox One Elite bundle, the Xbox One Special Edition “Gears of War” bundle, the Xbox One limited edition “Forza Motorsport 6” console, and the Xbox One Kinect bundle. Other bundles offered for a discount include the Xbox One “Fallout 4” bundle, the Xbox One “Rise of the Tomb Raider” bundle, the Xbox One “The LEGO Movie Videogame” bundle, the Xbox One “Madden NFL 16” bundle and the Xbox One “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition” bundle. For those who want a 1TB Xbox One, there are two offers for this, namely the Xbox One “FIFA 16” 1TB bundle and the Xbox One 1TB Holiday Bundle.
The Xbox One Black Friday 2016 deals will be available from Nov. 26 to 30 for select bundles worth US$299 (approx. AU$415). This is apart from the mentioned 12 bundles above that are discounted by US$50 (approx. AU$70).
So far, the Xbox One bundle sales are only available in the U.S. until Cyber Monday. Players who are looking for more games can also check out the Xbox Live Gold sale. Up to 60 percent of discounts are offered, with an extra 10 percent offered for Gold members.
The discounted games span across Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms, and will be available until Nov, 30. This is also the best time to Go Gold, since Microsoft is offering a US$1 (approx. AU$1.40) upgrade for the first month of membership.
Microsoft has been aggressively marketing the Xbox One to its fans and even beyond. With the release of the latest Xbox One system update, backward compatibility has finally been allowed for older Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One. However, this may not be the last of the titles the Xbox One will have backwards compatibility with.
It appears that the team is even seeing the original Xbox games as a challenge worth trying out for backward compatibility on the Xbox One. According to DualShockers, the team is looking into the possibility of Xbox compatibility with the Xbox One as a challenge, since the Xbox 360 backward compatibility has already been difficult work to begin with.
For now, no concrete plans has been made for the original Xbox games. But the optimistic thing about this is that the team is not closing off the possibility. They just need to finish the work cut out for the Xbox 360 backward compatibility before moving on to future projects.
