Xbox One White, Xbox Live Now Uses Real Money, More Battlefield 4 Trailers and a Borderlands 2 Film
The white version of the Xbox One has been teased, but sadly, the catch is very hard to achieve: you have to be a Microsoft employee.
Aside from the exclusively unique colored Xbox One console, the words "I MADE THIS" will supposedly also be engraved on the unit, reports IGN.
The console comes with other perks for the team members, such as 1 year of Xbox Live subscription, all 1-player games, achievements, and launch day availability, all for free. Microsoft has not yet announced if it will be offering the console at a price to the public in the near future.
For the meantime, if you are an Xbox 360 owner, the latest update for the fall has been rolled out. According to Major Nelson in his blog, the update has new features, the most prominent of which is the use of local currency for buying content.
Major Nelson adds that the update will automatically be prompted the next time you log into Xbox Live. If you have any leftover Microsoft Points, it should be converted to real money when you need to purchase anything, and from now on, expect the goods being sold via Xbox Live to show off dollars instead of points.
If you have purchased Microsoft Points Cards, this is what Major Nelson has to say about that, "We'll also continue to accept purchased Microsoft Points Cards and codes until further notice. It's that easy."
Borderlands 2 gets a short film this week
Gearbox Software has been very generous about creating more and more content for its latest creation, Borderlands 2. Now it takes that content creation to a whole new level to deliver a short film that's up for release this week.
According to GameSpot, the developer has teased two photos for the upcoming trailer, the latest being this one.
This isn't the first time that Gearbox Software has delivered a short film revolving around the Borderlands 2 theme. Earlier, the developer has released Krieg: A Meat Bicycle Built for Two, which tells the story of Krieg the Psycho.
Watch how Krieg the Psycho goes, well, psycho at the sight of what he calls a "siren," and see what exactly goes on in his head.
Battlefield 4 trailer on the Premium access
Content. Check. Insane graphics. Check. Awesome maps and multiplayers. Check. It seems like Battlefield 4 is ready to dominate next-gen first-person shooter experience in gaming.
But it takes it the fight one level higher, this time by offering premium access to those who want to really be at the front seat of all the action in the battlefield. In the latest video, the developers detail what players can get if they opt for the Premium Access.
"What we really want the Premium to be like this exciting and exclusive club, for anyone who has ever played and loved Battlefield," said Ben Jones, senior designer for BF4 Premium. "As a gamer myself, I know how exciting it can be to get your hands on content early, and that's the experience that we want to deliver with Premium."
All in all, what you can expect to get with Battlefield 4 Premium include five expansion packs, two weeks of early access to the content, 12 battlepacks, priority server queues, as well as new content every week.
On the official Battlefield 4 website, other BF4 premium access inclusive items are exclusive double XP events and exclusive personalisation options like camos, paints, dogtags, and emblems.
DICE has also released a new trailer, this time showing off Paracel Storm for the multiplayer. Making use of the whole levolution to make a more realistic naval combat, check out how the 64-player promise will reign for the next-gen fight.
