Microsoft is ushering in the holidays with the newly-announced Xbox One 1TB Holiday Bundle. This new offer will aim to put Xbox fans in the mood for the holidays, as well as the upcoming titles for the console.

The newest Xbox One bundle will feature three games to get players started. Announced via the Xbox Wire, the three titles included are “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition,” “Ori and the Blind Forest” and “Rare Replay.”

“Gears of War: Ultimate Edition” will let players access the “Gears of War” titles from the Xbox 360 selection via backward compatibility for free via the edition come Dec. 31. In addition to that, the edition will introduce the original title with high graphics and additional campaigns that were never released on the console.

The Xbox One 1TB Holiday Bundle will be available come October. It will hit retailers at with a $399 (approx. AU$570) price tag.

Apart from the new holiday bundle, Xbox One users can also expect a new feature to land on the console. Major Nelson has announced via his blog that both the Xbox One and Xbox App on Windows 10 will get the 12-person Party Chat. This is in line with the feedback from Xbox One fans, and as a bonus, it will be available for all at the same time. Xbox users can access this even without having to update the console or the app.

But for those who are currently part of the New Xbox One Experience Preview will get a visible update that contains a couple of additional features. Program members will have access to more communication options in the party text chat, animated avatars, an updated menu for common actions and new settings in the Guide. Game DVR has also been improved, as it has now integrated the function of the Game DVR snap app and the Upload app in one.
