Last week, live images alleged to be the Black-colour variant of the Xiaomi Mi 5 surfaced online. Now, a fresh leaked render shows the White coloured model of the device. Co-Founder Liwan Jiang has confirmed that Xiaomi plans to launch the most anticipated flagship, the Mi 5, after the 15-day Spring Festival, which starts on Feb. 8.

The White-coloured model was posted on Weibo confirming prevailing rumours. The leaked image indicates that the highly-anticipated flagship Mi 5 will sport a 2.5D curved glass display and a physical Home button integrated with fingerprint scanner, as reported by GizmoChina. Earlier reports claimed that the handset will be shipped with the smallest and fastest fingerprint scanner on the market.

The Mi 5 will supposedly offer two different variants including variable configurations. The high-end premium version will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and the base model will sport 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage.

The handset has been confirmed to come packed with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Recently, the device appeared on Geekbench yielding a score of 2,320 points in single-core and 5,347 points in multi-core benchmarks.

The device is slated to ship with a 16-megapixel rear camera along with a 13-megapixel front snapper and house a generous 3,600 mAh non-removable battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. The 4G LTE supported device will likely come with an NFC chip. Earlier speculations suggested the handset will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop. But the latest Geekbench databases revealed the smartphone with Marshmallow on board.

Last week, the device was also spotted on Gearbest with pricing and specs details in White, Gold and Black colour variants. The online retailer listed the smartphone from US$551.72 (AU$799) to $641.89 (AU$930) for different colour variants, reports Times News. However, the Chinese e-commerce website later removed the listing.
