The upcoming Xiaomi Mi Note Pro release date is reportedly set for March-end, whereas the well-received OnePlus One was released in June 2014. Readers who are interested in purchasing the impressive OnePlus One or waiting for the release of the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro should check out this showdown of specifications, features and prices.

Xiaomi Mi Note Pro vs. OnePlus One: Display, Size And Design

The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro features a killer 5.7-inch IPS LCD display, bundled with a solid 1,440 x 2,560 pixels screen resolution. Apparently, this translates to an impressive pixel density of 515 ppi. The 2014 flagship OnePlus One, on the other hand, comes with a relatively smaller 5.5-inch LTPS LCD screen, packed with 1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution. Notably, this display combination trickles down to a pixel density of a relatively inferior 401 ppi. As a rule of thumb, the higher the pixel density, the display looks sharper and clearer to provide brilliant viewing experience. Needless to say, the Xiaomi handset trumps the OnePlus handset fair and square in the display department.

When it comes to exterior design, the Mi Note Pro reportedly features an “all glass and metal trim design.” Xiaomi has employed the 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 on the display, in addition to a 3D Gorilla Glass 3 on the back panel of the handset. To top it off, a unique metal frame apparently connects the aforesaid front and back glass panels. Furthermore, all four corners of the device are rounded. All in all, the device gives a smooth, curved and refined look. And apparently, it is very comfortable on the hands, notes Android Headlines.

On the other hand, GizMag says, the OnePlus One is wrapped in a magnesium chassis and the plastic rear panel has a matte-effect on it. This one-of-a-kind external design combination is reportedly held together by a good quality build. Meanwhile, the OnePlus One’s rear shell is alterable with a bunch of panel choices namely bamboo, kevlar and denim.

Speaking of size, the thickness and weight of the upcoming Note Pro are 0.28-inch and 161 g respectively, while the One is 0.35-inch thick and weighs 162 g. Hence, it is evident that, the Note Pro is quite light, but almost same in the weight department, when compared to the OnePlus powerhouse.

Xiaomi Mi Note Pro vs. OnePlus One: Hardware, Software And Memory

The Mi Note Pro is powered by a 64-bit, octa-core (Snapdragon 810) SoC, whereas the OnePlus One is powered by a relatively inferior quad-core (Snapdragon 801) processor from 2014. While the OnePlus device is backed by a solid 3 GB of RAM, the Xiaomi phone comes with a massive 4 GB of RAM configuration.

From the software end, the OnePlus handset runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS with CyanogenMod 11S on board, whereas the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro runs on Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OS with MIUI. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi handset offers 64 GB of internal storage space. The OnePlus device, on the other hand, comes with 16 GB and 64 GB of in-built storage options. In any case, both the handsets do not support expandable storage.

Xiaomi Mi Note Pro vs. OnePlus One: Camera And Battery

Interestingly, both the phones feature the same 13 MP rear-facing camera unit with dual-LED flash and HDR. However, the Xiaomi device supports optical image stabilisation (OIS), while the OnePlus handset doesn’t. And moreover, there is a 4 MP front-facing snapper in the Mi Note Pro, whereas the OnePlus One houses a 5 MP unit. When it comes to the battery configuration, the OnePlus One comes equipped with a non-removable Li-Po 3,100 mAh unit, whereas the Xiaomi device sports a non-removable Li-Ion 3,000 mAh unit.

Xiaomi Mi Note Pro vs. OnePlus One: Additional Features

While the Xiaomi handset supports fast charging feature with the help of Quick Charge 2.0 technology, the OnePlus doesn’t. Aside from the standard connectivity options, both the phones support LTE. Besides, the OnePlus One supports NFC as well. Meanwhile, the Mi Note Pro is a dual-SIM handset, while the OnePlus One employs single-SIM.

Xiaomi Mi Note Pro vs. OnePlus One: Price

As far as the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro price goes, the device will apparently set the buyers back by 3,299 yuan, which roughly translates to $526. The OnePlus One, on the other hand, has gone though a price cut and therefore, the device can be availed for $339, while the original price is $399 in Oppomart.
