2K Sports details ‘WWE 2K16’ planned DLCs and Season Pass price
Just a couple of weeks before the release of “WWE 2K16,” 2K Sports recently revealed that its next entry in the professional wrestling series will receive a ton of DLCs post-launch. The expansions include an array of offerings including "additional story content, more wrestlers and moves and a whole lot more."
The game is scheduled for a total of six DLCs set to roll out this year till early 2016. Those who want the full experience of the game could purchase a special season pass for the game for $25 (AU $34.67). 2K Sports gave fans a glimpse of what’s to come wit the planned expansions for “WWE 2K16.”
Two of the DLCs will add more wrestlers to the game. Other DLCs include a new moves pack for other wrestlers and a MyPlayer Kickstart which makes created wrestlers stronger upon creation.
One of the 2K16 DLCs is a feature dubbed as the Accelerator. It will supposedly give players access to all unlockable content. This feature excludes the downloadable unlockables, which means wrestlers included in other DLCs will not be unlocked upon using the Accelerator. Players could still buy the Accelerator as a single item for the price of $1.99 (AU $2.80).
Future DLCs will also unlock several WWE Superstars both legends and new to the company. The Legends Pack will include wrestling greats such as Dusty Rhodes, Lita and Mr. Perfect. The Futures Pack on the other hand will feature several NXT wrestlers such as Samoa Joe and Diego.
Other DLCs in the pipeline include a 2015 Hall of Fame Showcase, which lets players take part in several famous matches from various generations of the WWE and WWF. Some matches include "Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. Jake “The Snake” Roberts, and Rikishi vs. The Rock.
Players can also save up a few extra cash by buying the recently announced Digital Deluxe Edition. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the Digital Deluxe Edition will sell for $89.99 (184.94). It includes a copy of the game,a WWE 2K16 Season Pass, MyPlayer Kickstart and a WWE 2K16 theme.
“WWE 2K16” launches on Oct. 27 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The game will have an expansive roster of more 120 characters, the biggest for any of the other games in the series.
