5 Hidden iPhone 5 Features
The iPhone 5 is full of hidden tricks and features that users might not know. Here is a list of 10 hidden and hard-to-find features that majority of iPhone 5 users do not know existed.
Take a Photo While Video Recording
Basically, users can take a photo and record a video simultaneously with the iPhone 5. Although the image will not take a full resolution, this feature is great in capturing special moments. Take multiple photos while shooting a video by tapping on the camera icon located at the upper right hand of the device.
Get Better Reception
With the LTE feature of the iPhone 5, users can have fast downloads; however, it can also cut a significant amount of battery life in the device. Just go to the Settings > General > Cellular > E nable LTE and toggle it OFF.
Filter Callers Through Do Not Disturb
While the Do Not Disturb feature is a great feature to block unwanted calls and texts, it is hard to absolutely turn off the phone to all contacts especially when the user needs to be available for special people. Luckily, these phone owners can allow particular users to break through the Do Not Disturb mode by adding a group to the whitelist.
Set to Get LED Alerts for Calls or Texts
The iPhone 5 does not have the notification LED, but users can use the camera flash as an alternative by tapping on Settings > General > Accessibility > LED Flash for Alerts > On. It is worth to note that the camera flash can be quite bright and it might not fit in particular situations like business meetings but it works well in extremely loud surroundings.
Set Automatic WiFi Backups
Backup the iPhone 5 to a local computer with WiFi and iTunes. This feature allows the iPhone 5 to automatically backup to the local computer when the computer is on and the iPhone is connected to the same network. Users can set this up by plugging the iPhone to their computer > iTunes > iPhone page > Sync with this iPhone over WiFi.
