Apple and IBM's enterprise partnership has been very productive so far, as the two tech giants delivered the first set of new mobile software to business customers in the form of made-for-business apps. Furthermore, the companies also delivered supporting cloud services, which reportedly lend IBM's big data and analytics capabilities to Apple iPhones and iPad users in the enterprise.

Out of all the business apps released on Oct. 10, a new app promises to simplify and accelerate customer appointments, specific to telecom service workers, with the help of GPS on the iPhones and iPads. In addition, there is also an app to help flight stewards assist the passengers to alter their connecting flights mid-air, points out The Times Of India.

The well-known rivalry between Apple and IBM apart, the tech titans worked together to strike a deal and announced the much-appreciated partnership to collaborate and develop a slew of business-focused apps. Reportedly, the companies aimed to incorporate IBM's data analytics skill set and business requirements knowledge, with Apple's capability to develop design-centric, yet user-friendly products. Represent

Represent helps the user to build professional resumes, which can stand-out to depict the individual's industry and personality, with umpteen design and colour choices. To top it off, the resume will be stored online for easy sharing. Users can also keep a tab of how many times a shared resume was viewed. Notably, this app will set the buyers back by $9.99 per year.

Kitestring

Kitestring is not an app, but a service. And according to TOI, it is cheekily known as "your virtual overprotective mom." Upon sending a text message to Kitestring with a time-frame, the service will send the user a message to check up on the assigned task, after the stipulated time-frame. Plus, this service can be availed for free.

Toggl

Toggl is a time-tracker app, which allows the user to track and record the time spent. Upon typing the task, setting the timer and tagging the task, Toggl will show a breakdown of the time spent at the end of the day. This useful app is priced at $5 per month. However, users can avail a 30-day free trial.

Stoodle

Stoodle can be used to collaborate online in a virtual workspace setup. Notably, the students and teachers can write and draw on virtual whiteboards in real-time. There is also a built-in voice conferencing and messaging service associated with the app. This app can be availed by any web user, free of cost.

Frontback

Frontback is a 2-in-1 camera app, which lets the user to capture images using the primary, as well as the secondary cameras on the smartphone. In addition, users can also browse through other people's photos and can upload a 5-seconds video response on a friend's photo. This is a free app for iOS and Android users.

Yik Yak

Interestingly named Yik Yak is a location-based app, which allows users to anonymously publish their opinions/views for others in the same location to view. As readers might have already figured, this app is similar to Reddit and hence, it allows users to up-vote and down-vote the uploaded opinions. This app also comes as a free download for iOS and Android device users.

Songza

Songza lets users to select playlists specific to the current activity like mood, genre and decade, among other options. Say for instance, the playlists can be differentiated by "Working (with no lyrics)," "Coding" or "Having Fun At Work," notes TOI. This is also a freely downloadable app for all web users.

Shots

All the existing selfie apps should watch out for this new app dubbed Shots. It is a photo-sharing and social networking app for sharing selfies. Notably, the notorious singer Justin Bieber invested in Shots, as an angel investor. Also, this app can be availed as a free download for iOS and Android devices.
