Amy’s Baking Company Fires Back At Prankster, Posts His Number On Facebook
Everyone knows that Amy's Baking Company owners Amy and Samy Bouzaglo don't just idly stand by while their critics spew their hate on them. Not only that they don't accept criticisms, they also fight back anyone who dares criticise them. So when a prankster who kept harassing them wouldn't stop, the Arizona, Scottsdale restaurateurs decided to turn the tables on him by posting his number on their Facebook page.
A detractor who has been pestering the couple since their disastrous appearance on the U.S. reality show "Kitchen Nightmares" has been given a lesson that he might not forget for a while after the Bouzaglos redirected the complaint calls they've been getting to his number.
"Due to the overwhelming amount of complaints from the show, we now have a designated number to accept all of your calls," the couple wrote on their Facebook page, adding the prankster's number.
"They get so many mean and harassing phone calls to the store that they fought back this weekend," a source told RadarOnline.com.
"They posted one of the pranksters phone numbers on their official Facebook page so they would see how it feels. The guy got so many calls to his Verizon cell phone that he had to change his number."
Not everyone would agree that delicious food is Amy and Samy's specialty, but it's clear that they certainly know how to serve revenge. Their Internet infamy started in 2010 when a YELP reviewer Joel Latondress criticised the couple's restaurant with a one-star review.
In return, Amy, the chef and co-owner of ABC, responded by calling Latondress "ugly" and "moron" among other insults. Her unprofessional action and inability to accept criticism garnered more unsavoury comments, which prompted her and husband Samy to sign up on celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay's reality show.
During their "Kitchen Nightmares" appearance, they told Ramsay that they needed him to prove their haters wrong. However, after sampling Amy's unappetising dishes and seeing for himself how the Bouzaglos harass their customers and cheat their staff, Ramsay had to agree with the critics.
The episode, aired in May in the U.S. but shot months prior, further attracted negative attention for the couple, which led them to retaliate on their social media sites. They later claimed that their pages were hacked and that they did not write the disparaging remarks. And judging by the comments that they receive on their Facebook page, no one really believed that they were hacked.
Meanwhile, TV producers are scrambling to take advantage of the Bouzaglo's notoriety. Amy and Samy are reportedly being inundated with offers to star in their own reality show. RadarOnline.com reported that they are seriously considering one offer from Cineflix, which aims to highlight their crazy behaviour on camera.
