Apple iPhone 7 specs: Image of prototype case shows four separate speakers
The upcoming Apple iPhone 7 has long been subject to multiple leaks and rumours. Fresh reports indicate that the next generation of iPhone will house four speakers.
French blog Nowhereelse.fr (via Mac Rumors) posted a series of images of the purported iPhone 7. Contradicting earlier rumours, a photo showing the prototype rear case for the iPhone 7 feature four separate speakers.
Previous speculations indicated that the tech giant might drop the headphone jack to include a second speaker in the rumoured iPhone 7.
Earlier this month, Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo also posted images of the alleged iPhone 7 with relocated antenna bands on both top and bottom edges of the device. The image depicting the rear panel of the device also suggested inclusion of a new feature, probably a laser autofocus.
Recent rumours also indicate that this year, Apple may release three variants of the iPhone 7. As a result, device-makers Foxconn and Pegatron have already increased the number of personnel at the assembly plants. The three variants would reportedly include an iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 7 Plus Premium or iPhone 7 Pro.

The premium version of the iPhone 7 has long been rumoured to feature a dual-camera module. New renders further substantiated earlier speculations that the top-end iPhone 7 Plus Premium or iPhone 7 Pro would house the dual-lens camera unit.
However, noted KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believed that all the entire line-up of 5.5-inch models of the iPhone 7 would tout the alleged dual-lens camera module.
In addition, with the iPhone 7, Apple is also likely to introduce 256GB of in-built storage. An image posted by Steven Hemmerstoffer on Twitter hint at 16GB, 64Gb or 256GB memory chip.
According to this render Apple will again retain its 16GB storage option for the iPhone 7 series. It is speculated that Apple might drop the 128GB storage variant and jump directly to 256GB of native memory.
Apple is yet to confirm the official Iphone 7 release date.
