Rumors of iPad Mini and iPhone 5 have been revived as Apple and LG Display are in talks of the future of iOS devices.

Computer World and The Korean Times reported that tech giant Apple is currently working on new devices, a small iPad and an iPhone with a larger screen.

According to The Korean Times, the rumor is from a reliable source in the industry. According to the insider, Apple and LG Display are in talks of the future iOS devices. This includes iPad mini and iPhone 5. Another meeting between the two tech companies will take place in the next few days and one of the agenda in the meeting is the introduction of a tablet that has 7.35-inch size.

Another agenda is the new iPhone that will feature a 4-inch display by LG Display. The screen is half an inch larger than the current screen sported by the iPhone 4S. The retina display resolution will not be changed as LCD is a great alternative to cut the cost.

It was recently reported that the 4-inch iPhone is a prototype. However, it was discarded as Steve Jobs did not want the iOS platform to be fragmented with different screen sizes. People are also skeptical with the 7-inch Apple iPad. Steve Jobs said the in a conference last year that Apple's competitors use 7-inch screen, which is about half of the size of the iPad's screen. Apple thinks that the size could get in the way in the performance of the device. Users cannot touch the screen accurately as the screen is too small for all the buttons. Thus, the company thinks that a 10-inch screen is very important in giving iPad's full performance and satisfaction to the user.

Apple said that it does not follow its competitors as the size of the screen is apt in the expression of the product. According to Apple, 7-inch screen is too small to express iPad's capabilities. Moreover, Apple is concerned with how developers will deal with different screen sizes and the need that they have to change the software every time the size changes.

When Apple is making decisions when it comes to screen sizes, it is not about the but about the value of the product and the software. Apple aims to give the best products in aggressive prices, Apple added.
