Public beta testers of the iOS 9 have received a new firmware to test as Apple has begun seeding a second public beta of its upcoming OS. The second beta firmware brings with it a slew of new minor features and the usual bug fixes and speed improvements in its latest firmware.

The second iOS 9 public beta is now more connected with the fourth developer version of the iOS. The beta testers will now experience Home Sharing for music, which was removed in iOS 8.4 but was added back to the iOS 9 developer version. With the return of Home Sharing, beta testers can share their iTunes Library with their family members over a Wi-Fi network.

The new version of the public beta also has support for the upgraded iPod Touch that runs on Apple’s A8 chipset, according to Tech Times. With this, owners of the new iPod can try iOS 9 for themselves using a new installation Apple added for the iPod Touch. iPad users also got new features on their Apple device. The new beta gave iPad users a new feature called Picture in Picture for Podcasts. This new feature is a multitasking feature that allows users to run other apps while they are watching videos in the Podcasts app.

Apple Pay also receives new features with the roll out of iOS 9 public beta 2. There is an option in the Settings app that lets users turn off a feature which allows them access Apple Pay from the home button with a double click. Users will also get their hands on the new and improved iOS camera that will now allow users to use the volume buttons as shutter buttons when taking pictures.

Apple has also transfered the Handoff button in the App Switchers from the app carousel to the bottom of the screen. This could make it easier for users to postpone their work on one device and send it to another while picking up where they ended. The Notifications icon is now red, and the Battery icon has been redesigned with soft and rounded corners.

Public beta testers who are now on iOS 9 can upgrade their firmware to the second version via an over-the-air update, according to 9to5mac. To do this, they need to go to the Settings app, open General, Profile and iOS 9 Beta Software Profile and delete the existing profile. Users will be asked if they want to delete their profile or not before rebooting the device. Once the device has rebooted, users need only to open the Settings app again, go to General and then Software Update. From there, the device will automatically download the update and then reboot. Upon rebooting, the device will run on the new version of the beta OS.
