AT&T has been launching quite a bunch of smartphones from different OEMs lately, and Windows-based phones are not an exception. The carrier will be releasing two Windows Phone 8.1-powered handsets starting Nov. 7. The handsets are the Nokia/Microsoft Lumia 830 and the HTC One (M8) for Windows.

It is worth noting that the Lumia device is already being sold as an unlocked version in the U.S. However, now the Nokia Lumia 830 can be purchased for $99.99 under a contract from AT&T. The device is also available without a contract for $449.99. In addition, the smartphone can be purchased on AT&T's Next plan for free during checkout and a monthly payment of $18.75 under Next 18 plan. Buyers can also avail the $22.50 per month plan via AT&T's Next 12, according to Phone Arena.

Notably, the Lumia 830 is the slimmest Lumia handset ever made by the manufacturer. Also, this phone is the final Windows Phone to carry the Nokia brand, as the moniker Nokia was put to rest by Microsoft very recently, according to Phone Arena. The handset comes with a 5.0-inch IPS display complemented by 720 x 1,280 pixels resolution. There is a solid 10 MP PureView rear-facing unit in the device, and the Lumia handset is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and backed by 1 GB of RAM.

In terms of memory, this Lumia phone is equipped with 16 GB of expandable storage. On top of the regular data plan, AT&T will offer a free Fitbit Flex fitness tracking wristband for those who will purchase the Lumia 830 handset. However, it is a limited offer.

On the other hand, the Windows-powered HTC One (M8) is available from AT&T for $199.99 under a contract. Also, the device can be purchased without a contract for $669.99. Furthermore, interested buyers can also opt for AT&T's Next 18 plan, where the handset can be purchased without down payment and $27.92 monthly payments. The other way is to opt for $33.60 per month plan under AT&T's Next 12. It is worth mentioning that Verizon is already offering the HTC One (M8) for Windows.

Key specifications of the One (M8) include a 5-inch Super LCD3 display, 1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution, 4 MP Duo Camera, a quad-core 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of in-built storage with expandable memory.
