‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice': Photo Teases Zack Snyder's Son Eli As Robin
Zack Snyder’s son, Eli, is rumoured to star in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” as Robin. While they have yet to comment on the news, one of the movie director’s favourite photographer, Clay Enos, recently shared a photo teasing Eli as Robin.
Clay Enos, who has worked with Zack Snyder in “Man of Steel” and “Watchmen,” further fuelled speculations of Eli Snyder’s role as Robin in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” on his Twitter page. He shared a photo of the football player with his father along with the caption “Boy wonder?” and tagged Zack’s production company Cruel Films.
In the DC comics, “Robin the Boy Wonder” was first introduced a year after Batman’s debut. Batman creators Bob Kane and Bill Finger co-created the character with ghost artist Jerry Robinson for the 1940 “Detective Comics #38.”
Clay Enos’ photo, however, doesn’t clarify which Robin Eli Snyder could be playing in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.” Robin is best known as Batman’s sidekick, but there have been three Robins who have worked with the caped crusader, including Dick Grayson, Jason Todd and Tim Drake.
Dick Grayson is the founding member and became the group leader of “Teen Titans.” The character was also rumoured to be in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” when a leaked set photo revealed his name on a gravestone. However, according to Cinema Blend, it’s likely the film will have Jason Todd as Robin considering the brutal way he was murdered by The Joker in the 1988 comics story titled “A Death in the Family.”
Heroic Hollywood initially reported on Eli Snyder playing the role of Robin in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.” It’s believed he shot some scenes with Jared Leto’s The Joker. The football quarterback from Maranatha High Varsity is no stranger in films. He has appeared in his father’s previous movies, starring as the young Leonidas in “300” and as the young Rorschach in “Watchmen.”
Whether Zack Snyder’s son is playing Robin is still unclear. However, this rumour gives credence to a previous report that “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” will feature a flashback scene on the death of Robin.
