'Battlefield 4' Already has Battle Tweaks; 'Call of Duty: Ghosts' Clans Not Platform Based, GameStop Pre-order Bonus Revealed
The "Battlefield 4" blog beta has been pretty much a success, but the last-minute work for developers has just begun.
In an entry in the Battlefield Official Blog, Vincent Vukovic of DICE thanked fans for participating in the beta and also listed a number of issues that were found by players who participated in the beta.
Some of these include the low frame rate that the developers have now promised to optimise for better performance at launch. For starters, there were three game client updates and game server updates that were released during the beta itself.
Many fans also protested against controller layouts and options in the new "Battlefield 4." The developers are now fixing it by providing multiple alternatives to cater to different audiences. In fact, a Veteran layout, which is similar to "Battlefield 3" and one that was most requested in their forums, will be rolled out at launch.
The issue of high CPU usage was also dealt with using patches in the beta, so one can expect better performance.
Gameplay balancing is one of the improvements that are still ongoing, as it is one that DICE is still aiming to improve on even post-launch. Other improved issues to look out for include infantry changes, vehicle changes, empty server listings for consoles and those stuck on the loading screen.
'Call of Duty: Ghosts': New Bonus Revealed
As though to make the "Call of Duty: Ghosts" pre-order an even sweeter deal, Activision has recently announced a new bonus for those who got their copy via GameStop.
Gamerant reports that, in homage to the character that served as the entry point for the new installment in the franchise, there will be a multi-player skin based on the Modern Warfare 2 protagonist, and it will be an exclusive skin for these preorders, setting you apart in during all those multi-player modes.
This is in addition to a previously announced pre-order bonus, as the Freefall multi-player dynamic map.
There's still a chance for you to place your pre-order, as 'Call of Duty: Ghosts" comes out on Nov 5, 2013 for current-gen PS3 and Xbox 360, PC and Wii U, and on later dates for the PS4 and Xbox One.
Better Interaction for 'COD' Clans
If before, your mobility as clans was limited by the platform that you were playing on, Activision has announced that clans no longer have to be constricted by their console type.
However, Wii U users are still not part of this new setup, which means only those on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC can enjoy of the new benefit.
Joystiq reports that there will be an additional Clan XP for more exclusive unlocks when you play together. You can now register for clans this early. Or if you are the leader of a clan, transferring to "Ghosts" is now possible.
