'Battlefield 4' Features New Story Trailer, Details Awards and Rewards In-Game; 'Call of Duty: Ghosts' Releases New Trailer and Pre-order Options
Just as "Call of Duty: Ghosts" has released its own serious trailer for the game, "Battlefield 4" has also released a trailer that looks into the story of the game. As you can see, the female soldier Huang "Hanna" Shuyi has also been given a long enough screen time and seems to be one source of conflict for the team.
"Battlefield 4" features a dramatic character-driven campaign that starts with the evacuation of American VIPs from Shanghai and follows your squad's struggle to find its way home," said DICE in the official Battlefield YouTube.
Rewards and Medals in 'Battlefield 4'
If you are one of the players who will be spending quite a lot of time in "Battlefield 4," you can now be assured that your hours and effort can now be used for bragging rights, as detailed in the official Battlefield Blog.
One of these is the achievable Ranks that you will get, as it spans from Rank 0 as a Recruit to 100 as a Colonel. Basically, this Rank can be obtained by calculating the score that you got from playing the multi-player mode. This means that it will be a combination of skills and time dedicated to playing the game.
If you feel that you will be able to reach the Colonel Rank in no time, worry not, for the journey doesn't end there. DICE revealed that there will be other challenges that are exclusive only for Colonel rankers.
There are also medals allotted for the ribbons that you earn in the game. In particular, 50 ribbons amount to one medal. To give even more of a challenge, some ribbons and medals are only obtainable if you are in one of the four classes, Recon, Support, Assault, and Engineer.
Attempts to finish a mission are also rewarded despite potential failures, as the developers see this as a way to give more incentive for players. So instead of netting no points if the flag is not neutralised, you will still receive good rewards for the effort, risk and time that you've put in the game.
Reward also come in the form of unlocking new weapons, which can now be done by using a family of a particular weapon to unlock more of them. For instance, using a lot of shotguns in the multi-player lets you unlock a number of shotguns and accessories.
Lastly, something that you can look forward to are Battlepacks, which are awarded to particular ranks but not given in a particular order, so you can expect them to drop into your stash anytime. These Battlepacks can come in Bronze, Silver or Gold versions, and there will be pretty neat weapons and accessories inside.
