"Battlefield Hardline" may not see the light of release this year, but that does not mean that it has been left behind in terms of updates from developers. If anything, it appears that developer Visceral Games is using the time to improve the gamer experience for "Battlefield Hardline."

In an exclusive interview with VG 24/7, the developer reveals that the beta conducted previously for "Battlefield Hardline" shaping the game in another route, with weapons now slated for change. Going on the feedback of fans, both positive and negative, the team reportedly realized the work that's cut out for them. The feedback alone and the aim of fulfilling fans' requests and wants for the upcoming title required more time in the drawing board, which is part of the reason why "Battlefield Hardline" has been pushed back to 2015.

This is not a surprising development considering that "Battlefield Hardline" will have a theme that's a far cry from last year's "Battlefield 4." With cops and criminals taking the place of all-out nations-involved wars, it will definitely be a new experience for players.

Because of the feedback, fans can now expect some big changes coming to "Battlefield Hardline." These include faction-specific weapons, more powerful weapons, changes in the modes and even a "more interesting gameplay."

"It's my hope that by talking to the press, talking through the b log, having the game at events like EGX and then our new beta, people will get the idea that we've made some big changes to the game," Visceral Games general manager Steve Papoutsis said to VG 24/7.

Even as "Battlefield Hardline" continues to take shape with Visceral Games, DICE's other project, "Battlefield Hardline" is also on its way towards the final expansion, The Final Stand DLC. Over at the official Battlefield Blog, the developer has detailed the developments that the expansion has undergone leading to the release.

The first clues that the developer provided players is that that The Final Stand will feature winter environments for its maps. Four maps have already been named: Operation Whiteout featuring the harsh cold of Siberia, Hangar 21 complete with military bases, Giants of Karelia depicting rural and high-tech weapons factories and Hammerhead, where players will go deep in a submarine base.

"Battlefield 4's" Final Stand will also feature new military gear--perhaps a last hurrah before the franchise turns towards cops and criminals command with "Battlefield Hardline"--which hint at futuristic combats. Some of these include the HT-95 Levkov, the Rorsch MK-1, the XD-1 and the Accipiter. There will also be new gadgets for the Final Stand expansion, including Target Detector to "auto-spot the enemy" and the DS-3 DECOY to confuse enemies.

Lastly, DICE has also announced the availability of the Final Stand in the Community Test Environment. The content that will be available via the Community Test Environment is already pretty close to the real deal that will be released. The only thing missing in the announcement is the final release date and price for "Battlefield 4" Final Stand DLC, though the developer may announce these in the coming days. In the meantime, check out the new footage featuring some of the toys and gadgets coming with the DLC.
