Beyonce's Daughter Blue Ivy Carter Had A Role In Her Grandmother Tina Knowles And Richard Lawson's Wedding
Beyonce's daughter Blue Ivy Carter inspired her grandmother Tina Knowles to get married to her longtime beau Richard Lawson, it has been revealed. The 3-year-old became the flower girl and danced happily with her dad Jay Z at the marriage ceremony, new pictures posted by Beyonce on her personal website have revealed. But Richard and Tina seriously considered the option of marriage only after Blue asked them about it.
"We went on a boat with Beyoncé and Jay Z for her birthday, and when we came out one night dressed to go to dinner, Blue said, 'Oh, ya'll look beautiful. When are ya'll getting married?'" Tina is quoted as saying to People magazine about Blue's words. "Richard said, 'Oh, Blue, soon. Do you approve?' And she said yes.” After Blue's innocent question Tina and Richard “talked seriously about getting married."
The couple finally got married earlier this month in the presence of both the families. Beyonce has posted several pictures from the wedding on her personal website. The pictures show everybody dressed in pristine white coloured clothes. In one picture, they strike a funny pose with their tongues out. Yet another picture shows Blue dressed in a beautiful, lacy white dress dancing with her dad Jay Z.
Tina's daughters Solange and Beyoncé; and Lawson's children, Bianca and Richard II were present at the wedding along with singer Kelly Rowland. Tina wore a bridal gown by designer Romona Keveza, adds the magazine. She chose white colour “because sometimes we feel that at a certain age you should act a certain way.” The bride walked down the aisle with India.Aire's romantic song “Ready For Love” in the background.
For Tina, finding love at 61 was a “beautiful” experience. What attracted her to Richard was his patience and caring nature. He took great care of Tina when she underwent surgery and was there by her side like a rock. She told People that all her “friends and family” were present at her marriage.
