Blizzard first revealed at the recently concluded Blizzcon, that “Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls” will be getting an update that it bring a slew of new features to the RPG. Patch 2.4, which makes the game’s world larger with more quests and items, is currently available for testing by Blizzard.

The new patch is currently out today but it is not the full update to “Diablo 3: Reaper of souls,” it is instead made available in the game’s public test realm, Polygon reports. Highlights of patch 2.4 include a new zone called Greyhollow Island and expanded areas called the Eternal Forest and Royal Quarters. As such, new areas bring forth new enemies to slay and new quests to accomplish.

Aside from the new areas, the patch will also bring a new type of areas to explore called Set Dungeons. These dungeons after players complete a particular armor set. Players should be aware that the Set Dungeons are difficult, thus having a high-level character is a must. However, players could still try their hand at the Set Dungeons readily upon completing a class set.

A new feature called Empowered Rifts will also be added with patch 2.4. These rifts can let players further strengthen legendary games. To activate Empowered Rifts, players could spend gold to make Greater Rifts better. The Empowered Rifts add a fourth area of upgrade to legendary gems. This new feature will be more useful for players who have a lot of extra gold, as the required amount of money to upgrade to Empowered Rifts is really high.

Among these added features are fixes to discovered bugs, as well as over 40 new Legendary equipment for the players to collect. No exact date for the final update has been released yet but Blizzard is planning on releasing the patch to both the console and PC simultaneously.
