'Captain America: Civil War' Casts Southeast Asian Men And Women As Extras
The producers of “Captain America: Civil War” are reportedly looking for Southeast Asian men and women to be cast as extras in the upcoming movie. There has still not been any official announcement about when exactly the filming of the movie is set to commence.
According to a report by TheAtlantaJournal-Constitution, filming for the upcoming movie will commence soon at a new Pinewoods Studios facility in Fayette County, Georgia U.S. The studio is said to be looking for Southeast Asian men and women aged between 21 and 75. The extras are said to be required to work in Fayetteville, Georgia.
The specific ethnicities mentioned in the report are Thai, Indonesian, Cambodian, Malaysian, Filipino, East Indian, Vietnamese, Singaporean, etc. The tentative date to commence work on “Captain America: Civil War” has been set on April 27. The applicants have been urged to send their photos in advance to SPUTNIKEXTRAS@GMAIL.COM as soon as possible for photo selection.
The applicants have been provided with a list of details that they need to include in their applications. The details required are age, height and weight, etc. The other details that need to be sent can be seen in the report. The pay for the extras is said to be about $64 for eight hours, and the extras will be eligible for overtime pay, if any.
Some of the main cast members of “Captain America: Civil War” are Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes and Anthony Mackie as the Falcon. The movie will also introduce a new character called Black Panther, played by Chadwick Boseman.
The movie is expected to be filmed in the city of Atlanta in Georgia, Berlin in Germany and Puerto Rico. The previous movie from the franchise was filmed mostly in the U.S., and some of the locations include Cleveland in Ohio, Oakland in California and Baltimore in Maryland.
“Captain America: Civil War” is slated to be released on April 29, 2016 in UK and on May 6 in the U.S. The release date information in Australia has still not been revealed by the producers.
