In an interview with Badass Digest, Kevin Feige indirectly confirmed that Scarlett Witch will return possibly already as an Avenger in “Captain America: Civil War.” When talking about the list of Marvel characters who will join the film, Feige said Scarlet Witch will be revealed “at the end of the movie.” Her scenes were reportedly shot using FX plates that were initially planned to be used on Captain Marvel.

During the interview, Kevin Feige recalled the time he and “Avengers: Age of Ultron” movie director Joss Whedon talked about how they would feature Scarlet Witch in “Captain America: Civil War.” Whedon reportedly initially wanted to cast the character at a later time. But he then decided to finally put her in the film using Captain Marvel’s plate shots.

“Finally Joss was like ‘let’s use those plates to let Scarlet Witch fly into frame, give her a big entrance?’ And that makes sense -- she’s come to their side and she deserves the cool introduction, which will feed into another movie we start shooting in a few weeks,” Feige revealed during the interview.

Feige’s last statement clearly confirmed Elizabeth Olsen’s return as Scarlet Witch in “Captain America: Civil War.” As what Feige said, her appearance in the sequel marks her introduction into another film, which at this point is still unknown. However, under Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe what follows “Captain America: Civil War” (May 6, 2016) is “Doctor Strange” (Nov 4, 2016). There have also been previous reports of Wanda Maximoff possibly appearing as a side character in “Doctor Strange” considering the film focuses on magic and sorcery.

Comicbookmovie also noted Kevin Feige’s interview with MTV’s Josh Horowitz when he said principal photography for “Doctor Strange” will start soon in November in London. Movie director Scott Derrickson and crew had reportedly already finished scouting for buildings in New York to be used as Doctor Strange’s home.

Marvel reportedly has plans for Scarlet Witch to appear in future sequels of “Doctor Strange” as his apprentice. According to Comicbookmovie, Wanda Maximoff’s introduction into the “Doctor Strange” franchise would start with a meeting with the Sorcerer Supreme during Infinity War.
