The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt
As Geralt, gamers will make tough choices and face their consequences in “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.” Xbox News

Developer CD Projekt Red is currently preparing a new update for “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.” The upcoming patch will bring forth bug fixes and new features for the poorly received Modkit for the game.

The update is fully detailed on official forum of “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.” The developer did not state a specific release date as to when the update will hit the game but community manager Marcin Momot noted that it will be releasing soon.

There are several fixes being made to the Modkit with the update. The most notable fix comes to several issues being addressed in the Script Studio. Other bug fixes are geared towards the issues faced when players or modders try to refine some map properties. It seems CD Projekt Red is doing its best to provide the smoothest experience for its modders in the highly praised “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.”

Aside from the issue fixes, there will be new features added to the modding system. One of the additions is the added ability to mod textures from the textures array which allows for deeper customisation. Once the update hits, the Modkit will warn players when one primary component of the game has trouble loading up. Perhaps the biggest addition being made to the Modkit of “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,” is the possibility of creating new textures using mods. This new feature will allow players to have access to more content created by the modding community.

The Modkit for “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” was first released in August. Upon release, fans were quick to voice out that the Modkit was not what they expected, Gamespot reported. What the fans were looking for was an updated Redkit modding tool which was used in “The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.” CD Projeckt Redkit then confirmed that the Modkit is the only modding tool for “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.”
