Chaka Khan On Bobbi Kristina Brown's Condition: 'Whitney Would Be Devastated' To See Her In This State
It has been two months since Bobbi Kristina Brown was found facedown and unconscious in her bathtub. There is no improvement in her health condition as she is still in a state of medically induced coma. Chaka Khan, friends with Bobbi's late mother Whitney Houston, has spoken about the amount of pain she suffers to see Bobbi and her family at this difficult time.
"I can’t say I was shocked... But I was definitely hurt, disappointed," Khan is quoted as saying to Mirror UK in an exclusive interview. The 62-year-old songstress has known Bobbi since she was a baby and has many pictures with her. Khan is said to have fought her own battle with drug addiction and there is speculation in the media that drugs were found at Bobbi's Atlanta home too.
Khanhas known the Houston-Brown family since ages and everyone is “devastated.” She said she loves everyone including “Bobbi Kristina, Whitney, Bobby Brown and Cissy” but unfortunately everyone can't help but wait for something good to happen. Khan is there with the family in this time and said she is praying for Bobbi.
"Whitney would be devastated. I wish she was here,” Khan said adding that it is impossible for anyone to know how it feels to be in this kind of situation unless “it happens to you.” The veteran songstress also added that she is “pretty close to feeling what she [Whitney] would have felt and what she’s feeling right now, wherever she is."
Bobbi's mother Whitney too was found in the same condition with her face down and unresponsive in a bathtub and Khan is aware of this fact that Bobbi's “mum died this very same way." Bobbi was found drowned in her bath tub by her partner Nick Gordon on January 31st at their Atlanta home. Nick reportedly administered artificial respiration to Bobbi before he called the ambulance but she did not show any signs of consciousness.
When in hospital, Bobbi suffered violent seizures due to swelling in her brain and doctors put her in a medically induced coma to let the swelling subside. But even after two months, Bobbi's condition remains same. Attempts were made to get her back from coma but every time she suffered violent seizures and had to be put back in the same state of coma. She has now been shifted to a rehab facility that is equipped with long-term care options.
