Diablo 3 Patch 1.0.3 Release Improves Enemy Damage, Loot Drops
Blizzard will release another update for the Diablo 3 game, patch 1.0.3. The patch incurs changes on loot drops, enemy damage and other difficulty tweaks.
Blizzard did not announce when the patch 1.0.3 will be released. However, the company has released a detailed overview on the sort of changes they will be making. This includes bridging the item gap, adjustments to legendary items in the game, Nephalem Valor tweaks, adjusting the health and damage of monsters and bosses in Inferno and adjusting the bonus monster damage that players experience in multiplayer mode.
Earlier this week, gaming giant Blizzard released the patch 1.0.2 for the hit game that aims to fix some of the bugs found in the game. However, the company promised bigger changes to arrive with patch 1.0.3.
Senior technical game designer Wyatt Cheng laid out the details of the patch in a post on the official Diablo 3 blog. Some of the most notable changes include increased drop rates for more powerful items in Act 1 of Inferno and the removal of bonus monster damage when in groups. The patch also decreases the crafting training costs.
Overall, the patch looks to smooth out the difficulty curve for making their way through the hardest difficulty setting.
According to the blog post, "[W]e're shifting to a philosophy where the best items in the game can drop from many different places, so a wider variety of play styles are viable. If you would rather chain-pull elite packs in Act I than 3 minute cat-and-mouse in Act IV, we'd like you to be able to do that and know you can still find the best items in the game."
Although the patch may affect the players differently, playing a full game of four players in Inferno mode is very difficult for some players and causes many repair runs and resurrections for players.
The release of the patch may get different reactions from players. Some of the players will be delighted with the update while others may not.
