DLC News: 'Saints Row 4' DLC Leaked; 'GTA 5' DLC Spotted; 'Payday 2' Update Announced
Saints Row 4 has been wreaking havoc and mayhem for a while, but now PS3 players have something else to look forward to with two DLC adds-ons coming in a week's time to the PlayStation Network.
The first DLC is GATV, and according to Tech2, this will focus on Johnny Gat. It will also feature some cosmetic upgrades and a new weapon, like the knifegun.
The Sixth Axis adds that the only known details of the DLC are in GameFAQs forums for Saints Row 4, where the art for three more packs have been revealed. These packs include the Bradygames Pack, the Dubstep Gun (Remix Pack) and the Gunslinger Pack.
There is also an announced Wild West pack, though it is not mentioned in the latest leaks. Definitive release dates have not been announced, but a vague release dated for this week has been hinted at.
'GTA 5' DLC Already Hinted, Microtransactions a New Addition
A new addition to the system of "GTA 5" reveals that micro-transactions, much like free-to-play games now have, will be made available for the game.
The option of buying from the Ammu-nation store in the game's Los Santos is available once you are connected to your particular console network, reports PSU.
For fans who have gone through many of the "GTA" installations before the "GTA 5," buying items in the game has proven to be a lot of hard work, one that you literally have to work for.
But this time, the option of simply getting the cash you need to get the vehicle or estate that you want would be an interesting take for "GTA 5," though this can depend highly on how a person plays.
Also, a DLC has also been spotted, but more of an expansion of the weapons in the game. According to Gameranx, the menu from Ammu-nation has several weapons which are up for downloadable content.
'Payday 2' Gets Better Payouts with Update
Crime has never been more rewarding in video games as it is with the newest update for "Payday 2"--from big rewards to even bigger cash loots, you are in for a lot of upgrades.
PCGamesN lists down the major changes that come with the update, which basically include changes in difficulty, team mates, AI, payments, skills, weapons and loots, all of which come in the 800 mb worth of update.
Payouts are pretty much the biggest change in the game, with the economy seeing a big overhaul with all the data and feedback that developers have received. Contracts are now reward-dependent on mission specifics. You can also act on your own, depending on the mission--like bag-focused missions can pay out even more if you target additional bags. But all the while, greed will be your main enemy.
The weapons also have great updates, including reload animations for the Deagle; damage adjustment for the M308 Rifle, IZHMA 12G Shotgun and Kobus 90 Submachinegun; and texture fix for the professional sight.
Your character skills will also receive a major overhaul, with 25 to 40 percent Boosted Aced Combat Medic, additional Inside Man Assets on most of the levels, improvement on the sentry gun tier and concentrated effect of the ECM for enemies rather than including civilians.
