The Elder Scrolls Online is one of the much-awaited MMOs, and it is all thanks to Sony for making sure that this happened.

In a video interview with Game Informer, it was revealed that the game was supposedly slated only for the PC until the pitch was made to put The Elder Scrolls Online on the way to the PS4.

Reported by IGN, SCEA VP Adam Boyes has revealed that Sony has pushed and pulled to Bethesda with regards to making the upcoming game a part of the console offering.

"Knowing that a game is coming to console that was never going to come to console, that's the kind of stuff that is like, you know, hugely awesome," said Boyes in the interview.

The Elder Scrolls Online will be released some time in 2014 to the PS4 and Xbox One consoles, as well as the Mac and PC with a subscription fee of $15 per month.

Halo 5: On spectator mode and eSports

With the $200,000 grand prize finally landing in the hands of Aaron "ACE" Elam to close off the Halo Championships at PAX, eyes now turn to the future of Halo, now that the Halo 5 has been very heavily hinted as the next game slated for Xbox One.

In an exclusive interview with GameSpot, Frank O' Connor of 343 Industries has revealed some new information regarding competitive championships and plans for the future.

Beginning with the recently closed off championships, it seems that eSports may be the next plan for the competitiveness of Halo and its community. According to O' Connor, one of the steps being taken is the addition of the Champions bundle as well as the Ricochet mode to engage audiences in competitive play, and see how this can play out for next year.

To further pursue competitive gaming, GameSpot also brought up the issue of Spectator Mode which is a feature that has been long requested by the community. Before, 343 Industries has encountered the problem of very finite resources, but now, with the progress of a more complete team and better technology, the vision for Halo 5 and beyond is becoming wider.

"Spectator mode-a true spectator mode-is something that we took very seriously in development," said O' Connor to GameSpot.

"Competitive play, spectator mode, any kind of video-based or tournament-based activity is something we're taking very seriously for the future. Being careful not to promise anything, you can take it for granted that something we'd have loved to put in last time, should be applied to what we want to do for the next game in the Halo series."

It seems that overall competitive play for the next Halo franchise is a possibility for 343 Industries, and one that they are pursuing in the future.

"We're building both our staff and our experience and knowledge in that realm, and you should expect our support for the competitive community and the competitive scene will improve for the future."
