Twitter known as the second most popular social networking site is also known for something else: creating friendships, destroying them and a battleground for tweet wars.

With the latest twitter battle between the famous Cher and the most recent American Music Awards' winner Nicki Minaj, long time users of Twitter would know that these two were not the first to take it out on each other and with the help of their fans through their tweets.

There were many others before them and here's a quick recap of the latest Twitter happenings that has got the world hooked on celebrity tweets.

First on the list is the ever famous Kim Kardashian and her ex-hubby NBA player Kris Humphries. 72 days after their grand and not to mention expensive marriage, Kim decided to call off the marriage and file a divorce.

Her husband, Humphries was left in the dark. Poor little Kris had to find out by Twitter when Kim decided to delete him off her Twitter account. Talk about "Ouch!"

Another "Oh so Famous" ex-couple that has got emotional issues spread all over Twitter is Chris Brown and his ex, Rihanna. Well in this case, Chris Brown.

The singer tweeted multiple rants about his ex but it was too late for him to delete his tweets which his followers and the general public saw as an emotional breakdown for the singer. He had to deactivate his Twitter account for a while.

"I know a lot of you wack a-s (OLD) celebrities wanna f*** my ex, but talking s*** on me wont get you far! And to be REALLY HONEST, ya'll wonder why n-a spazzes all the time?" was just one of Brown's famous tweets that got him in trouble. Thankfully the singer still has a lot of fans behind him ready to support his emotional instability.

Not all Twitter wars include break ups and bitter exes. Some are actually controversial tweets of which include Miley Cyrus' and Demi Lovato's battle against twitter haters calling them fat. Friendship can only mean so much on Twitter but it still can't compare to the "awesome" bloody battle Avril Lavigne and beau Brody Jenner got into.

The couple known for getting into fights and enjoying the hell out of it seemed to enjoy tweeting photos of themselves bruised and bloodied after a not-so romantic date at a bar.

Twitter has a lot more to it than celebrity stalking and actual interaction with famous celebs. It's also the best place to find out the latest gossip and to get in on with the latest tweet fights.
