“Five Nights at Freddy’s 4” has some exciting surprises in store for its loyal followers. Scott Cawthorne, creator of the horror game series, will unveil some extra contents for the game, come Halloween.

Scott Hawthorne made the announcement through an email sent to YouTube users Razzbowski and Cinema Blend, the creator has promised to release a free update containing free game contents.

“To keep the Halloween date special however, I'll be working on a free update with extra content to release October 31st,” Hawthorne said. However, he did not provide any exact details as to what these contents could be.

His announcement came after he revealed the final date of release for “Five Nights at Freddy’s 4.” I'm going to release Five Nights at Freddy's 4 on August 8th for the 1-year anniversary of Five Nights at Freddy's,” he added. “The Final Chapter” to the horror game series was initially scheduled to be launched on Halloween.

Scott Hawthorne also promised to release a preview for “Five Nights at Freddy’s 4: The Final Chapter.” “I also plan on having a trailer ready for next weekend!” he said. It’s uncertain if this trailer he promised is different from the one that was recently released.

The trailer below for “Five Nights at Freddy’s 4,” which was released on Monday, July 13, immediately sets off a dark and creepy vibe as gamers are encouraged to look intently at the screen with its blinking lights. Apparently, scene setting has changed from the pizzeria to a dark hallway then to a bedroom. As strange things are happening, the questions “What is it that you think you see?” “What game do you think you are playing? and “What have you brought home?” adds to the thrill and chilling effect of the game. Freddy eventually makes a surprising appearance nearing the end of the trailer.

According to Polygon, “Five Nights at Freddy’s” was first released on Steam. However after gaining popularity the game series was later ported to Android and iOS. “Five Nights at Freddy’s 4” may be dubbed as “The Final Chapter” but as per Cinema Blend, there’s no telling if a sequel will still materialised.
