Galaxy A7 2017 review: Samsung has produced a stunner in terms of battery performance
Tech experts are of the opinion that the Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 is a hit. The smartphone has the best battery life in the upper mid-range category. Its large screen is also impressive.
According to PhoneArena, the Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 has a premium chassis feel, great call quality and a feature-rich, uniform user interface. The phone has a waterproof body. The Moto Z Play Droid could be its closest competitor, sporting an even better battery life to even out some of its inferior specs. The Galaxy A7 2017 is a great option for those who are constantly out. It lasts long, really long, in a single charge. However, there are certain drawbacks too, such as, no 4K recording, shaky video, soft photos, fragile glass chassis and uneven colour temperature when display is tilted.
At 3,600 mAh battery capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 has a 20% larger juicer than the A5 on the same specs. The smartphone scored 20 percent longer in battery endurance under the most-demanding of circumstances, reveals another PhoneArena report. Gamers would love the phone as it can provide a day of heavy gaming on a single charge. Moreover, the phone takes very little charge time. The Galaxy A7 2017 has a very potent top speaker. There are two noise cancelling mics and sufficient volume strength.
There is also a speaker on the right side, just next to the power key. Even this small speaker surprised with its clear sound. When it comes to taking videos on the Samsung Galaxy A7 2017, it gets a bit messy. There’s neither optical stabilisation nor software stabilisation. The continuous autofocus works fast but is not that impressive. Quality of photos taken is good in daylight conditions. However, the images come out a bit soft. The often get smudged due to lack of optical image stabilisation.
Even the 16MP selfie camera fails to impress. The primary camera is also of 16MP. It has LED flash. The Pro camera mode has all the manual controls, including ISO and white balance controls. HDR and Panorama are also there. The Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 is 36% more power-efficient than its predecessor. It uses an octa-core Exynos 7880 chipset with eight Cortex A53 CPU cores. It ships with 32 GB of internal storage and the Duo version has a dedicated microSD slot for expansion microSD slot for expansion.
