Galaxy Note 5 To Arrive In July Alongside Samsung Pay
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be out this year, but avid Samsung users were delightedly surprised when news of a July release date surfaced on the Internet. It would seem that the Korean tech company has opted to deviate from its tradition of launching their Galaxy Note smartphones during IFA tradeshows, which are usually scheduled in September.
According to Pocket-Lint, Samsung will be unveiling its prototype for the Galaxy Note 5 to global telecoms in June, and will be making an official announcement regarding the device in July. As stated in the report, Samsung has opted to launch the unit ahead of time, simply because its manufacturers were able to finish the device ahead of schedule.
With a rumored Galaxy Note 5 release in July, Apple’s much larger iPhone 6 Plus will be meeting its competition pretty soon.
In addition to that, Samsung has also reiterated that smartphones now have a shorter “honeymoon” period as compared to when they were first introduced to the tech market. With that said, they wanted to be quick in providing a follow-up device to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, which, in turn, were released, only earlier this year.
Moreover, the upcoming flagship phablet is reportedly going to be the launch vessel for the company’s all-new Samsung Pay system. Samsung would also like to enter the market of digital payment services – one that Apple Pay is spear-heading so far.
Uber Gizmo has pointed out that, so far, based on what has been speculated about the Galaxy Note 5, it looks like it will sport a pretty impressive hardware. According to multiple online news sources, the 7.9-millimeter thin phablet will be featuring a 5.89-inch 4K display, an Exynos processor, an S Pen, a large 4,100mAh battery, and a microSD card support that can be upgradeable to 256GB.
