Twitch and Steam are now in sync with each other, and those who have both accounts and are avid fans of watching competitive Dota 2 will find this new feature to be worth checking out.

Before, Dota 2 tournaments seemed better watched in-game in order to get promotional items randomly given during the events, as Twitch excludes viewers from this particular benefit.

However, with the two accounts linked for a more seamless experience, Joystiq reports that even those who are watching via Twitch and have purchased virtual tickets for the competitive combat can now still receive the special items. The ticket can be acquired via Steam and it will immediately be linked to the Twitch account.

This comes as a perfect timing, as August 7 marks the launch of Dota 2 for $29.99, as well as the start of an annual event, The International, around the same time.

Mercenary Kings available this July

If you enjoyed the game version of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, then there's a big chance that you'll love this game from Tribute, same developer and one that held a successful Kickstarter campaign for the new game.

Titled Mercenary Kings, the game will be available on Steam Early Access for $15 or, for backers who were involved in the campaign, it'll be yours for free, or with other add-ons depending on the amount that you contributed.

According to VG 24/7, the game experienced delays because more work was put into the project, given the unpredicted success of the Kickstarter campaign.
