The new Google Nexus 10 2 leaked image could be fake, according to reliable tipster @evleaks.

The Twitter account known for leaking credible information on upcoming devices deleted its tweet containing the alleged image of Google Nexus 10 2. Then, @evleaks posted a new tweet saying, "Pulled the 'Nexus 10' tweet. Was sent to multiple publications, along with slightly differing 'corroborating evidence.' Signs of a hoax."

It can be assumed that @evleaks has a certain criteria to verify whether the leaks are genuine. The Twitter account has a good track record when it comes to posting leaks of unannounced devices. According to @evleaks, the image was sent to multiple publications. Pocket-Lint received the same image but taken at a different angle.

According to the deleted tweet, Google Nexus 10 2 may be the first device to run with the new Android 4.5, which signals the imminent release date of the 10-inch tablet. The tweet added Samsung will take the helm in manufacturing the Nexus 10 tablet.

It has become a tradition for Google to introduce a new device paired with a new version of Android OS. The Android 4.5 can be an upgrade of Kitkat OS or a whole new mobile software.

The tablet will include a 10-inch display with 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution, 5-megapixel rear camera and 3-megapixel front-facing camera. The tablet will come in 16 GB and 32 GB storage variants. Under the hood, the device will run with Samsung Exynos 5 processor paired with 3 GB RAM.

Previous reports claimed Google Nexus 10 2 will pack a NVIDIA Tegra 4 chip processor. There are also reports saying the tablet will be powered by Google Nexus 10 2 and will pack a NVIDIA Tegra 4 chip processor. However, Google has not confirmed none of the ongoing rumors.

Some sources claimed the second generation of Nexus 10 tablet will have a 12-inch screen display as seen in new Samsung tablets with 2K pixel resolution, 3 GB RAM, 8 MP back camera and Adreno 330 GPU. Consumers can still expect the tablet to come with a friendly price tag.
