GTA V DLC Update: High Life Release Next Week and Online Heists in June, Double XP Weekend Hints
There are a number of surprises in store for GTA fans. The next big GTA V DLC news is the High Life pack release, which will add loads of bling-worthy features that will allow players to have more ways to spend their cash. Apart from that, the bigger news for GTA fans is the release of the GTA Online heists.
The new GTA V DLC for the High Life pack and the GTA Online heists will be part of the 1.13 and 1.14 title updates. The GTA V DLC for the High Life pack will be released next week as Rockstar announced that dates May 2 and 3 will give players double cash and XP for jobs in GTA Online.
According to the Rockstar Newswire announcement, "[this is] to prepare for the new apartments, lavish cars and amenities coming in the High Life Update coming this month." As such, odds are if the High Life pack will come in two weeks' time, Rockstar will launch a double cash and XP weekend on May 9 and 10 instead.
The last two GTA Online updates have been released on Tuesdays, which makes the May 6 release a likely date for the High Life DLC release. Apart from that, expect that the GTA Online heists will arrive in the first week of June. In the event that Rockstar follows the Tuesday releases, GTA Online heists will likely release on June 3, which will be a Tuesday.
On the other hand, E3 will begin a week later on June 10, which makes it doubtful for Rockstar to launch its biggest online feature when the gaming world is focused on the line-ups at E3. If the GTA Online heists won't happen on June 3, the next possible release date will be in June 17, which is a week after the E3 and three days before summer starts. Keep in mind that heists were coming already this spring.
The GTA Online heists are expected to involve a casino robbery because in the last few months, there have been a number of clues and leaks revealing that Rockstar is planning to open an in-game casino. The YouTube personality ECB2 discovered references to casino roulette hidden in the GTA source code.
