‘Halo 5 Guardians’ dev talks Custom Games, upcoming Forge news, The Sprint scheduled for October
“Halo 5: Guardians” has been bringing new changes to how the franchise is played. While there are couple of good additions, such as Spartan abilities and the increase in player count to 24 in the Warzone, there are also some debated changes, like the removal of the split-screen feature.
This time, another confirmed tidbit may get some fans down, as 343 Industries’ Josh Holmes finalized the player count for custom games. Over at TeamBeyond, Holmes confirmed via the forums that the player count will be limited only to 16.
The topic was brought up by fans who have been asking about Custom Games, Theater and Forge in “Halo 5: Guardians.” One TeamBeyond forums user EagleBurn had brought up the concern for the lack of information for the three aspects of the title. Apart from confirming the Custom Games player count, Holmes has also assured fans that there will be more information coming regarding Forge sometime next week.
Another thing that “Halo 5: Guardians” fans can look forward to is the new season of “The Sprint,” which showcases the developmental process of the game. Microsoft has announced the third season with a teaser trailer, which shows off some multiplayer tests and early sketches of the game, Paste Magazine reported.
The video also hints that the developers are already adding the last touches to “Halo 5: Guardians.” These include the recording sessions for the soundtrack as well.
This is not the only new season of a series related to “Halo 5: Guardians.” Before September ended, Microsoft released the newest episodes for the second season of Hunt the Truth, the audio series for “Halo 5: Guardians.”
For the new season, instead of fictional journalist Benjamin Giraud, fans will now follow the story through rebel FERO’s eyes. The second episode is already up, and it can be seen in the official Hunt the Truth website. Apart from the second episode, there are a few other entries, including a letter from Michael Sullivan’s Giraud’s ex-boss at the Office of Naval Intelligence.
