How to Jailbreak iOS 7 with Evasi0n 7
Evad3rs recently released the iOS 7 jailbreak tool that brings a new method that runs on the iOS 7 through 7.0.4. Here is a step by guide on how to jailbreak iOS 7 with evasi0n 7.
The iOS 7 jailbreak is free to download for Windows and Mac and it works on iDevices running on iOS 7, which includes the iPhone 5s, iPad Air and the iPad mini Retina. Basically, the iOS 7 jailbreak is straightforward but here is a guide to avoid common iOS 7 jailbreak issues.
How to Jailbreak iOS 7
1 - Back up your device to the iTunes or the iCloud. Make sure that you finish the backup first before you proceed to the next step. If you have a password for your iTunes, turn it off and create a new backup before you proceed with the jailbreak process.
2 - Restore the iPad using iTunes to prevent issues from occurring if you have updated your device to the iOS 7.0.4 over the air. Although the jailbreak can work just fine without doing this process, the jailbreak team suggests performing this step.
- Plug in to iTunes
- Select Restore
- Select OK
- Select Agree
- Wait for the software to download and install.
- Make sure that the process is completed before you proceed to the next step.
3 - Disable passcodes on the iPhone and turn off "find my iPhone" just to be safe.
Select on Settings > General > Passcode Lock (Enter code) > turn Passcode Off > Enter Passcode
4 - Download the Evasi0n iOS 7 jailbreak tool for Windows or Mac. Double click to unzip the files. After the download the files, you can already start the actual jailbreak procedure.
5 - While the download process is going on, do not use iTunes for any other task. Connect your device into your computer then open the jailbreak app then follow the prompt that appear on the computer.
If the iOS 7 jailbreak tool runs into an issue, reboot the device by holding the home and power button then start over.
6 - Unlock the device when prompted and tap the jailbreak button. Do not tap the app several times and do not unplug the device. A single tap must launch a white screen and reboot the device. Wait until the jailbreak is completed.
7 - Once completed the Evasi0n tool will offer an exit button, but your device might continue to reboot.
8 - Set up Cydia to get started with iOS 7 jailbreak apps.
