Rumors about the iPhone 6 continue to float around the Internet. One report said the next Apple flagship iPhone will be released in June or July 2014 while another report noted it will hit the shelves in October 2014.

Despite the rumors, Apple has remained silent and has not made any official statement about the release date of iPhone 6.

The smartphone will possibly come out it the market in June or July 2014, Mehdi Hosseini, Susquehanna Financial Group analyst, said as reported by the Investors Business Daily.

The reported June release date coincides with the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, wherein tech companies typically launch their new devices and software.

"Although there is no colour yet on the iPhone 6 specs, our recent checks in Taiwan and Korea suggest Apple has already begun negotiating with its memory suppliers to secure capacities," the report said.

The iPhone 6 is "actually expected to be a more meaningful product refresh," Hosseini noted.

C Technology said in a report that similar to the release dates of previous iPhone models, the iPhone 6 will come out in October 2014.

Recently, Apple received patent to make curved screen which could be incorporated with the iPhone 6. According to CNET, Apple has found a way to create durable curved screens with that recent patent.

Also, MacRumors reported that the next iPhone will sport a larger screen.

"Apple has been experimenting with a wide variety of screen sizes, with rumors suggesting a range of 4.7 inches to 5.7 inches, bringing the next iPhone in line with competing Android and Windows phones that have all adopted larger displays."

At this point, while rumours abound, there is no clear evidence that points to the iPhone 6 release date yet. Apple is not known to make official announcements about the release dates of its products until the launch of the product itself.

However, after a couple of months we expect to see the rumors to settle and start to point at the same release date.
