All eyes are on the imminent release of Apple, Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) 2012 flagship phone - iPhone 5. Apple already unveiled its MacBook Pro as well as its latest iOS 6. Now, it is time to painstakingly wait for the launch of the newest iPhone.
Basing his statements from the intel from Apple's suppliers, analyst Shaw Wu said that the iPhone 5 will sport three major features. These are larger screen, new design and 4G/LTE support. According to a report from CNET, the new iPhone will be a global phone including significant improvements from its predecessor, the iPhone 4S.
"The sixth-generation iPhone is expected to sport three big improvements, says analyst Shaw Wu. Picking up intel from suppliers, Wu sees a new form factor, a slightly larger screen, and 4G LTE support built into Apple's next flagship phone. These features should help the upcoming iPhone outscore the iPhone 4 and 4S at picking up new customers and enticing existing ones to upgrade," the report stated.
iPhone 5 is speculated to be at the brink of global dominance as rumors abound that it plans to invade the biggest smartphone market, China.
Speculations that Apple is developing services for specific countries like China. Apple dropped a hints during the recently concluded Worldwide Developers' Conference when the company announced that Siri can now understand Mandarin and Cantonese.
This could mean that Apple is already developing specific features for target markets, starting with China. The company is no longer focusing on US consumers.
According to CNET's report, "The phone (iPhone5) will work with China Mobile's proprietary TD-SCDMA 3G network, says the analyst. Both China Mobile and China Unicom have been testing 4G LTE. But full adoption of LTE is a few years away, so support for 3G is crucial if Apple is to gain further traction in the Chinese market."
China Mobile (NYSE: CHL) is the largest mobile telecommunications company enlisted in Hong Kong and New York Stock Exchanges. As of January 2012, China Mobile has 655 million subscribers. Thus, working with China Mobile is definitely a good move for Apple.

Tech website TechCrunch also confirmed that Apple is replacing its conventional 30-pin dock connector with the new 19-pin dock connector. Although this change may benefit first-time iPhone users and will provide more room for new specs since the news takes less space inside the handset, the accessories from the previous iDevices can no longer be used in the new gadget.
In earlier reports, iPhone 5 will be released in October. However, new reports that the media event for the iPhone launch will be held in September along with the fourth generation of iPad.
