72 days after the $10 million dollar fantasy wedding, Kim Kardashian decides to call it off with divorce papers filed while the beau, Kris Humphrey, is left uninformed of the decision.

The couple wed late this year on August 20. A whirlwind romance at the beginning it immediately transcended into a wedding of a lifetime. Pictures of the wedding and videos of the steamy make-out session during the couple's honeymoon were spread on the web to television shows.

From wedding outfits of the Kardashian sister and her family to honeymoon outfits of the bride and groom, everything was literally exposed.

However, all great love stories have a downfall and for Kris Humphries, his lasted only less than three months. It may not be the shortest of celebrity marriages but this surely took the NBA star by surprise.

The NBA player is currently devastated after hearing about Kim's sole decision for divorce which was filed last Monday, October 31. Kris who was scheduled to promote an event at Las Vegas on Saturday at the Chateau Nightclub canceled after hearing Kim's decision for divorce. The basketball player is said to be "licking his wounds" with family and close friends back home in Minnesota.

What do the parents of Kris Humphrey have to say with all the ruckus happening?

Crushed like Kris, the parents still think it's a fairly wrong decision for Kim to give up so easily on the marriage and on their son. The Humphries who too have fallen in love with Kim hope that the divorce doesn't go through and that Kris may be able to pull the brakes on Kim and her decision to end the marriage.

As for the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star, reports have claimed that Kim has flown to Australia to heal her wounds as well.

"I had hoped that this marriage would be forever but sometimes things just don't go as planned," says the celebrity socialite. The Kardashian star known for her steamy affairs on and off cam has been married once which lasted four years.

That being said, it only proves marriage takes more than days to think over. Whirlwind romances may have taken Kim and Kris head over heels but now it has taken them flat on their faces with an unforeseen divorce that has got family, friends and fans extremely outraged.
